James continuously invests in the development of eco friendlier products and services, of course without sacrificing functionality and quality. For instance, James participates in the European project Enzup. In this project, amongst other things, new cleaning products based on enzymes are developed, specifically targeted at wool.

James also keeps an eye on the developments at various European universities, concerning cleaning products and cleaning methods.
