James Bandit is a powerful stain remover for oil and grease stains on porous materials. Think of stains from barbecue grease, deep-fryer grease, oil or other greasy dirt that has seeped into stone, wood, concrete or brick.
The product works in a unique way: you pour James Bandit onto the stain, after which it draws the embedded dirt out of the surface. As it sets, the product forms a dry powder that you can easily remove. This is how you tackle stubborn grease stains in a targeted way, without having to scrub and without putting unnecessary strain on the surface.
Use James Bandit when oil or grease has seeped into a porous surface and normal cleaning is no longer sufficient. This often happens with natural stone, wood, concrete, cement or brick, for example after barbecuing, cooking, deep-frying, doing DIY or spilling oil.
On porous materials, grease quickly penetrates deeper into the surface. As a result, a dark patch often remains visible, even after you’ve cleaned the top. James Bandit is designed for this sort of set-in stain. The product effectively draws the dirt out of the pores of the surface, so that the stain may visibly fade or disappear.

When should you use James Bandit?
James Bandit is best used on stubborn, dark stains caused by oil or grease. Think of a grease stain on a natural stone worktop, oil on a wooden table, barbecue grease on a patio, deep-fryer grease on concrete, or a greasy patch on brick or cement.
This product is not intended for daily cleaning or for removing light surface soiling. To do this, use a suitable cleaner for the surface in question. James Bandit should be used topically, when grease or oil has penetrated deeper into the surface. In the case of very stubborn or older stains, it may be necessary to repeat the treatment.

How do you use James Bandit?
Shake James Bandit well before use. Make sure the surface is dry, then pour a thin layer of James Bandit over the entire stain. Do not scrub or brush. Allow the product to soak in gently so that it can draw the oil or grease stain out of the surface.
Within about 30 minutes, James Bandit forms a dry powder. Remove this powder using a vacuum cleaner or a hand brush and dustpan. For stubborn oil or grease stains, old stains or heavy soiling, you can repeat the treatment. Only use the product in well-ventilated areas and not on plastic or wet surfaces.

Does James Bandit also work on old oil or grease stains?
Yes, even older stains can often still be visibly improved. The deeper and longer the stain has been in the surface, the greater the chance that you will need to repeat the treatment.
How do I know if my substrate is porous enough?
A porous surface absorbs moisture or grease. If a drop of water is quickly absorbed into the material, there is a good chance that the surface is porous. If water remains entirely on the surface, the substrate may have been sealed or treated.
Can James Bandit also be used outdoors?
Yes, this is possible on suitable porous surfaces, such as natural stone, concrete, cement or brick. Do ensure that the surface is dry and that no rain or moisture gets on it whilst the product is setting.
What should I do if powder gets stuck in seams or pores?
Remove as much powder as possible with a vacuum cleaner. You can gently loosen any remaining debris with a dry, soft brush and then vacuum it up again.
Can I use James Bandit on treated or impregnated natural stone?
That depends on the finish. A protective coating or impregnation may affect how it works. You should therefore always test the product on a small, inconspicuous area first before treating the whole stain.
On the advice of an insurance broker, I treated a rough natural stone table top with James Bandit to remove a turpentine stain. The stain seems to have gone now, which is brilliant, of course.
