An oil slick often forms in a matter of seconds. A drop from the pan, oil from a bicycle or door hinge, massage oil on a cushion or a splash while cooking. Avoid the following oil removal agents

The internet is full of home remedies for removing oil stains, but not all of these methods are equally effective or safe for all surfaces and materials. We would like to warn you against using the following substances, as they often do more harm than good:

  • Soda: although soda is often recommended for removing oil stains from clothing and carpets, for example, it can dry out or fade the material. Furthermore, soda is not always effective at dissolving oil, which may cause the stain to penetrate deeper into the material.
  • Cola: Cola is sometimes recommended for removing oil stains from paving slabs or concrete surfaces, but the sugar and acids in cola can leave a sticky residue and cause re-soiling in the long term. In addition, the acid in cola can damage the surface, especially in porous materials such as concrete.
  • Dasty: Dasty is a powerful degreaser that is often used for all kinds of cleaning tasks, but it is not suitable for delicate surfaces such as imitation leather, suede or carpet. It may damage or dry out the materials, causing them to lose their original appearance.

Deze vlek kun je behandelen met James Interieurreiniger. Je hebt hiervoor een witte, katoenen badstof handdoek nodig en James Interieurreiniger.  Vervolgens volg je de volgende stappen:

  • Test op een onopvallende plaats op kleur- en materiaalbestendigheid: aanbrengen, laten drogen en beoordelen.
  • Spray James Interieurreiniger op een droge, witte badstof handdoek.
  • Wrijf met de handdoek in grote, rustige halen over de verontreiniging. Indien je handdoek vuil wordt, weet u dat de reiniging succesvol is.
  • Behandeling meermaals herhalen met een schoon stuk van de handdoek, tot je geen vervuiling meer op de badstof handdoek ziet komen.
