Dark ring around table that is seldom used. It looks as if the carpet is discoloured.

Cause
Residue from furniture polish/spray or glass cleaner.

Explanation
During the dispersion of these products, a certain amount finds its way to the carpet. These products leave a sticky residue behind when dried out. The sticky residue then attracts dust and dirt which over time will manifest itself as a dark ring around the furniture.

Solution
Most of these stains can be removed using James Water.

Method James Water:
First vacuum clean the carpet thoroughly.
Spray James Water on the soiled area and wipe the carpet dry using a dry cotton towel. Use wide sweeping strokes.

If cleaning with James Water does not give a satisfactory result, the carpet must be cleaned professionally. Contact James for advice and/or professional cleaning.
